We start the week on a cooler, quieter note across central Indiana. Monday looks mostly sunny but breezy, with highs in the upper 50s, and then Tuesday turns a bit chillier with highs closer to the upper 40s. The bigger thing early in the week is the cool nighttime air. The National Weather Service says frost/freeze potential exists Monday and Tuesday nights, so this is not the week to get too cocky with tender plants just yet.

By mid-week, we make a pretty solid turn toward spring. Wednesday jumps back into the mid-60s under mostly cloudy skies, and Thursday looks even warmer with highs around the low 70s. Thursday also brings at least a chance for a shower, so while it won’t necessarily be a washout, the pattern starts getting a little more unsettled. That lines up with the NWS message that warmer weather returns for the second half of the week after the early-week chill.

Heading into the weekend, the milder pattern hangs on. Friday through Sunday all look well above where we started the week, with highs generally in the upper 60s to mid-70s. Skies lean mostly cloudy at times, and Friday appears to have the best shower signal, while Saturday and Sunday look warmer and mostly cloudy. So the overall vibe is a cool start, then a steady warm-up, with the second half of the week feeling much more like April.
